Hawaiian Gyro


1-8oz. Can Crushed pineapple
1/1/2 C Light corn syrup
6 oz. Tomatoes (small diced)
6 oz. Lettuce (shredded)
18 oz. Isaly’s Chipped Chopped Ham
2 tsp. Vegetable Oil
Salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste
4 slices Pita bread


1. Pre heat oven to 350°.
2. Heat saucepan on medium heat.
3. Add crushed pineapple, cook till simmers.
4. Add diced tomatoes and simmer for 2 min.
5. Add corn syrup and simmer for 10 min.
6. Shred lettuce
7. Place pita bread in the oven for 8 min., checking often.
8. Heat sauté pan on medium heat, coat pan with the oil.
9. Add the ham and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder; brown ham slightly.
10. Use warm plates
11. When setting up the sandwich start with the pita bread.
12. Add 2 oz. Shredded lettuce
13. Add 6 oz. of seasoned ham.
14. Coat ham with pineapple sauce, and add a side of pineapple sauce.
15. Grill a couple slices of pineapple for presentation.
